Urban regeneration through company networks and systems
The home and office space domotic and automation market is growing fast. A Zion Market Research study declares that the intelligent building market will record a growth rate of over 34% between 2020 and 2024.
The Working World 4.0 demands company LAN network flexibility and adaptability. It now has to support Wireless systems, HVAC systems, lighting, security and energy management systems.
Efficiency, innovation, compatibility
In the Management Centre of one of the vastest urban and architectural regeneration actions in Milan, STIM has cabled an important project building, 140 metres high with more than 30 floors.
Cabling system efficiency, need for compatibility with the next three technology generations, ability to support a vast range of applications and to become an integral part of the building’s performance and sustainability, were the main goals.
These bases involved challenges and complex choices that are not always obvious during the initial stages. They often occur to hinder plans, needing creative, unconventional solutions to be solved or avoided.

Power, security, speed, innovation
The need to manage high band width and power applications requiring up to 10 Gb/s of data and Power over Ethernet at 60 watt or higher was behind the choice for cabling Cat. 6A, indispensable need thanks to the ability to support 10GBASE-T.
Devices requiring a lesser bandwidth (below 1G, 250 MHz) but high power (up to 100 watt) like lighting and the surveillance cameras with advanced functions like heating, inclination and zoom, were integrated in the cabling system as were all the building automation and intelligent management systems.
The LEVITON™ solution adopted guaranteed maximum flexibility and a high level of adaptability in the management and interconnection of systems, for an end result that exceeded Customer expectations.
