Main focus of the operation: unification of Collaboration tools in a single UCaaS interface

 

One of Lombardy's leading business services companies, which supports over 10,000 member companies and customers, has chosen the synergy of Vodafone and STIM to develop a customised Unified Communication & Collaboration platform that facilitates and simplifies collaboration between employees and customers and adapts corporate structures to the current digital transformation.

A scalable, stable and secure system

 

Vodafone was responsible for the implementation of new high-performance networks in the 11 sites across the territory, while STIM, as Technology Advisor, managed the design, installation and configuration of the new infrastructure and then deployed it as a UCaaS service.

The project works on the integration of TVOX and Private Cloud solutions that allow the customer access to the service via MPLS, VPN, Internet or other transport technologies such as SD-WAN, thanks to shared management and data centre components. 

This system enables secure, stable and scalable enterprise-wide control of calls, voice, video and messaging.

In particular, the virtually unlimited scalability guaranteed by the integrated VoIP and UC solutions was a key factor in the decision-making process that led to the choice of the implemented TVOX system, which thanks to the multi-sites concept guarantees high reliability and complete redundancy of services.

The TVOX UC Cloud architecture used is divided into three parts: the Data Center components, the UC applications and the tools and management part. The customer can access the services via MPLS, VPN, Internet or any other transport technology such as SD-WAN, while the Data Center components and management layers are shared with the users, although the customer will still have a logical separation for each.

 The TVOX system distributes applications according to a model characterised by geographical redundancy on two different Vodafone Data Centres connected via Layer3 network, meeting critical business needs.

 

Final Goal: smoother and more efficient collaboration in the company

 

The implementation of the project according to the pre-established plans now allows the customer to access call control services, voice and video sessions, messaging, mobility and videoconferencing in an efficient, stable and secure manner, scaling the flows autonomously and, thanks to the Web App, to communicate via chat, audio or video with a click.


Integration with applications and management systems

Thanks to the implemented UCaaS system, communication enters the customer's operational process flow, increasing the performance of users and employees.

The service is integrated with applications and management software (CRM, ERP).


BYOD

BYOD solutions allow employees to use their own devices in the company: Smartphones and Tablets become part of UC&C with WebApps.


Monitoring & Managed Services

Release of Level I and II assistance and Service Desk services via STIM Managed Services: valuable tools for monitoring network performance in real time.
