IT Operation Manager - NOC Startup & MOC Delivery

Role Description:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Operation Manager to lead the start-up and development of our NOC (Network Operation Center), contributing to the implementation of the new MOC - Managed Operation Center service. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical/operational background and be able to work closely with the SOC Manager to ensure integrated IT infrastructure and security monitoring and management.

This figure will play a key role in building operational processes, defining service metrics (SLAs/KPIs), managing the technical team, and supporting the consolidation of a modern, automated, service-oriented operational structure.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the implementation of NOC, including architectures, tools and operational processes.

  • Work with the SOC Manager to ensure effective integration between infrastructure monitoring and security monitoring.

  • Contribute to the definition and delivery of MOC service in as-a-service logic.

  • Supervise the daily operations of the NOC, handling escalations, incidents, problems, and requests.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, and automated workflows.

  • Define and monitor performance indicators and SLAs, ensuring high availability and quality of service.

  • Coordinate and train the operations team (1st and 2nd levels), ensuring 24/7 service according to company standards.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, capacity planning, and change management (Change Management).

  • Actively participate in technical tables and reviews with the CIO and other stakeholders.

Requirements

Technical skills:

  • Proven experience in implementing and managing NOCs and/or operation centers in the enterprise environment.

  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring systems (e.g., Dynatrace, PRTG, Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.).

  • Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., Syaid, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management) and CMDB.

  • Basic skills in networking, operating systems (Linux/Windows Server), virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

  • Knowledge of the main ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Request).

  • Experience working in ISO 27001 or high security requirement environments (plus).

Soft skills:

  • Aptitude for operational leadership and management of technical teams.

  • Ability to work in multifunctional teams and in dynamic settings.

  • Excellent communication, problem solving and priority management skills.

  • Service orientation and internal/external customer focus.

Preferred qualifications:

  • ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar certifications.

  • Experience in collaboration between NOC and SOC or in MDR/XDR environments.
